Our client, an international metals company is looking for a Chief Engineer. Key qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline and seven (7) years of experience in engineering or related scientific field, including lead or supervisory experience,
or a Master's degree in an Engineering discipline and five (5) years of experience in engineering or related scientific field, including lead or supervisory experience.

responsibilities:
- Engineering Oversight: Supervise, monitor, and enhance engineering practices and planned projects for the site.
- Regulatory Compliance: Manage environmental compliance, reporting issues to management and providing guidance on local, state, and federal regulations.
- Project Leadership: Serve as a Project Manager or technical expert for large-scale site construction, expansions, and modifications.
- Strategic & Financial Planning: Contribute to site budgeting and strategic planning while overseeing vendor contracts for equipment and services.
- Internal & External Representation: Represent the site on company-wide steering teams (e.g., Environmental Steering Team) and advise management on engineering programs.
