Job Description



In this Engagement Specialist - Outreach role, you will be an integral part of the Operational team, serving as the first point of contact for job seekers. You will quickly assess their needs and guide them through available employment services. In this role you will:

  • Greet clients, manage the reception area, and conduct initial assessments of job seeker needs
  • Provide social service referrals and assist job seekers in utilizing self-help resources
  • Conduct outreach to Unemployment Compensation Exhaustees and manage appointment scheduling
  • Screen and direct calls while maintaining accurate referral logs
  • Follow up with job seekers to track service utilization and employment outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation in accordance with organizational standards
  • Collaborate with team members and partner organizations to ensure seamless service delivery and resource coordination
  • Identify and communicate barriers to employment services to support continuous program improvement
  • Participate in community outreach events, job fairs, and networking activities to expand service awareness

  • Two (2) years of experience in career services or related fields
  • A genuine passion for connecting with people—both face-to-face and over the phone
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills that actually work

  • A solid background in customer service and familiarity with popular job search websites and resources
  • Self-motivation and flexibility—you're a team player who thrives on collaboration
