Position Summary

As a Finance & Accounting Intern within the Inland Northwest, you will gain valuable exposure to key financial processes while supporting our payroll and fuel accounting. This position will be a paid internship that provides hands-on experience in financial operations, reporting, transaction management, and process optimization within a collaborative environment.

This internship is ideal for students pursuing Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, offering practical experience in a corporate finance environment while developing analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Essential Duties and Functions

• Key and verify accuracy of hourly timecards and payroll edit reports.
• Upload and verify accuracy of Trakit, Bid2Win and Infield payroll data.
• Key and verify accuracy of equipment usage information.
• Process payroll and equipment usage according to accounting month end deadlines.
• Reconcile weekly payroll information including PTO, job cost tracking and prevailing wage data.
• Ensure that the assigned daily operations are carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, policies and objectives.
• Assist in daily/weekly fuel entry accounting.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Pursuing a Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Power Point
• Organizational and excellent communication skills required.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
• Consistently reports for work at scheduled work time
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
