Timeframe: April - September

Schedule : 2-3 days per week

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern with a passion for the sports and entertainment industry to support our finance team with daily reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role reports directly to the Area Controller and offers hands-on exposure to core finance and accounting functions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate is eager to gain real-world experience while working behind the scenes of live events and entertainment operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete daily sales reporting with accuracy and timeliness
• Assist in managing bank reconciliation variances, including researching and resolving discrepancies
• Perform event expense and profitability reconciliations.
• Submit event invoices to partners for payment processing.
• Support the timely collection and tracking of accounts receivable.
• Complete daily subcontractor settlements and provide documentation to the purchasing department for payment processing.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and general ledger account analysis.
• Support ad-hoc, Excel-based financial analysis and projects as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Hospitality Management.
• Must be entering Junior or Senior year at the start of the internship.
• Must be local to the area and have reliable transportation to the ballpark.

Required Skills:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively; meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and basic analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Physical demands:

• Primarily sedentary work, requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use.
• Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, and telephones. 
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. 
• Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel as needed. 
• Frequently required to use fingers and hands to type, enter data, or operate equipment.
