IM / Med-Peds Nocturnist Hospitalist

Kenansville, North Carolina

A community hospital in Kenansville, North Carolina is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Internal Medicine or Med-Peds Physician to join a high-quality Nocturnist Hospitalist program . This role is ideal for physicians interested in night-based inpatient care within a collaborative hospitalist team.

Opportunity Highlights:

  • Employment within a physician-led hospitalist program
  • Hospital privileges at an 81-bed community hospital
  • Established Med-Peds hospitalist team consisting of 6 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider
  • Flexible nocturnist scheduling options:
    • Three (3) 14-hour shifts per week , or
    • Six (6) 14-hour shifts every other week ,
  • Hospitalist service manages a 9-bed open ICU with tele-intensivist support
  • ICU responsibilities include:
    • Ventilator management
    • Lumbar punctures
    • Central line placement
  • Fully integrated electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Broad specialty support, including:
    • General Surgery
    • Cardiology
    • Otolaryngology
    • Orthopedic Surgery
    • Obstetrics & Gynecology
    • Gastroenterology
    • Nephrology
    • Ophthalmology
    • Sleep Medicine
    • Speech Therapy
    • Physical Therapy
  • Average nightly admission volume of approximately 6 patients
