Job Description

A real estate investment organization is seeking an experienced and driven professional to join its Investment Accounting team. This role is central to investment‑level activities, including tracking capital deployment, monitoring investment returns, managing property data and reporting, supporting valuations, assisting with audits, and facilitating tax return preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute detailed investment‑level processes related to the acquisition, management, and disposition of real estate assets

  • Perform data‑driven analyses and interpret large volumes of property, financial, and operational data to support reporting and business decision‑making

  • Review property financials and quarterly forecasts; review disposition gains/losses, waterfall calculations, and promote allocations

  • Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements across reporting, data management, and operational workflows

  • Track deal performance and key metrics

  • Collaborate with deal teams and asset management to support execution of business plans

  • Manage, mentor, and coach a team of administrators

  • Support audits, valuation processes, and tax documentation with organized and thorough workpapers

  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with operating partners and other external parties

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in real estate, private equity, asset management, or related fields; a mix of public and private experience preferred

  • Strong analytical and process orientation; excellent attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong organizational skills

  • Team‑oriented collaborator with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to balance detailed operational work with strategic thinking and process‑improvement initiatives

  • Expertise in data analysis, reporting, and handling large data sets

  • Strong business acumen and enthusiasm for the real estate sector
