Anticipated Interview Dates: We anticipate holding virtual interviews beginning the week of June 8, 2026. We look forward to meeting with you!

Are you ready to launch your career in investments while contributing to one of the nation’s largest public pension funds? Curious about how investment strategy, communications, stakeholder engagement, and reporting come together to support long-term financial success? If so, this is an opportunity worth exploring.

The CalPERS Investment Office is seeking a motivated, analytical, and curious student to join the Investment Office Relations team as a Student Assistant. In this role, you’ll gain meaningful, hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and high-performing environment.

As part of the Investment Office Relations team, you will help support the communication of Investment Office priorities, initiatives, and performance to internal and external audiences. This may include assisting with surveys and feedback tools to evaluate communication effectiveness, supporting the development of presentations and reports, researching industry best practices in investment communications and reporting, and helping coordinate meetings, webinars, and stakeholder materials. You may also contribute to projects that strengthen transparency, engagement, and strategic messaging across the organization.

This is an excellent opportunity to build practical skills in finance, communications, research, and public service while gaining exposure to institutional asset management on a global scale. You’ll strengthen your analytical abilities, sharpen your professional communication skills, and learn how a complex investment organization engages with its stakeholders.

We’re looking for students who are detail-oriented, eager to learn, dependable, and excited to contribute fresh ideas. If you thrive in a team setting, enjoy solving problems, and want experience that can help shape your future career, we encourage you to apply.
