Ten Broeck Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing is now hiring full-time No Frills Certified Nursing adjuncts ( CNA ) to join our team! Ten Broeck is a 258-bed facility that is recognized all over the Hudson Valley for our outstanding delivery of subacute and long-term care.
The No Frills Certified Nursing adjunct ( CNA ) is responsible to provide various resident care activities and related tasks for the specific needs and comfort of residents. They take direction from RNs and LPNs to carry out plan of care as well as complies with federal, state and local long-term care regulations. Certified Nurse Aides provide care for residents' needs, as identified through resident assessment, and described in the plan of care. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF A NO FRILLS CERTIFIED NURSING ASSITANT ( CNA ):
·Performs tasks such as: activities of everyday living- bathing, dressing, assistance in nutrition and hydration, locomotion/ambulation, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming such as: comb/brush hair, nail care, shave. Bowel and bladder assistance, maintenance rehab, proper knowledge of least restrictive devise regulations, proper utilization of restraint devises, special care needs.
·Provide for residents with special needs related to their diagnosis (i.e. behavioral issues, splints, etc.)
·Reports all cases of alleged violations involving mistreatment, neglect or abuse including injuries of unknown sources.
·Documents resident care accurately and completely at point of care utilizing computerized medical record system.
·Notes resident changes of condition and reports same to LPN/RN.
·Answers call bells in a timely and polite manner.
·Assists in provision of post-mortem care.
·Performs vital signs as directed.
·Reports on duty, listens to and/or obtains report from Charge Nurse, receives assignment.
·Makes two hour and prn rounds on all residents.
·Keeps unit neat and clean; straightens nourishment station, clean and dirty utility room and other areas as assigned.
·Ensure the resident is out of bed, dressed and ready to participate in activities of choice.
·Provide assistance with ADLs during activities if necessary.
·Assist resident to participate in individual activities of choice, (i.e.: set up of equipment, positioning assistance, providing sufficient lighting and space).



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF A NO FRILLS CERTIFIED NURSING adjunct ( CNA ):
·Requires movement all over entire unit.
·Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of 50 lbs.
·Must be able to bend, lift, and transport equipment.
·Must be able to lift and turn and residents.
·Requires capability to utilize computerized medical record system for the purposes of medical record documentation.



CERTIFIED NURSING adjunct ( CNA ) Qualifications required
·Must have valid CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTNT ( CNA )CERTIFICATION IN NY
·Skilled Nursing practice Preferred
