Job Posting: Certified Outboard Technicians at Moriches Bay Marina

Location : Moriches Bay Marina, 10 Shore Dr Mastic Beach, NY 11951

Job Type : Full-Time, Seasonal / Year-Round Opportunities

Moriches Bay Marina is a premier full-service marina located in Mastic Beach, offering everything from dockage and boat storage to maintenance and repairs. We are seeking experienced and certified Yamaha, Honda, and Mercury Outboard Technicians to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Yamaha, Honda, and Mercury outboards .
• Rigging and installation of new outboard motors.
• Troubleshooting and servicing inboard motors , as well as full boat systems , including plumbing, 12V electrical systems, air conditioning, and electronics .
• Conduct mobile service calls for on-site repairs at various locations.
• Work independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality service to our clients.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and services.
• Ensure all work complies with industry safety standards and company policies.

Requirements:

• Certified Yamaha, Honda, and Mercury Outboard Technician (required). Willing to send to school under the right circumstances.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for mobile service).
• Strong knowledge of boat systems , including inboard motors, plumbing, electrical (12V), air conditioning, and electronics.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, or as part of a team.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
• Previous marina or boat service experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other brands of outboard or inboard motors.
• ABYC or other related certifications.
