Job Description

Performs medication coordination work to include receiving and reconciling medication shipments, answering phone calls, waiting on the pick-up window, scanning documents into SmartCare and other duties related to medication coordination support. Provides administrative and clinical support work including some direct client contact unique to area/program within the agency. Application of advanced knowledge and independent judgement in the implementation, application and monitoring of complex rules and standards and the assurance of compliance with them.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• Requires graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent.
• Two years work experience related to prior authorization and/or patient assistance process and must have knowledge of prescription terminology and psychiatric medication Preferred .

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terms
• Maintains files and records for an organizational unit.
• Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures.
• Skill in the use of electronic data and/or word processing equipment and software.
• Answering phone calls, routing incoming calls, taking messages, greeting visitors and directing them to appropriate staff.
• Back-up duties for provider scheduling.
• Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Performs related work as assigned.
• Must have and maintain a level of general health which permits the performance of duties.
• Individual must have the capacity to carry supplies and lift up to 30 pounds and sit for prolonged periods.

Position: Pending Approval

Hours: 8am-5pm Mon-Fri

Salary: $31,239.94 Annually $15.0192 Hourly
