Live-In Nanny/Family Assistant – Mill Neck, NY
Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 (total compensation) annually | Live-In Accommodations Provided
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM-10:00AM BREAK 3:00-–8:00 PM- approx 40 hours per week. 
Long-Term Position (2+ Years Preferred)

 

A warm and welcoming family in  Mill Neck, New York is seeking a  full-time live-in Nanny/Family Assistant to join their household and become a valued member of their support system. About the Family

• Children: 3 children, ages 4, 6, and 9 
• Adults in the Home: 2 working parents  
• Pets: 1 friendly 6-month-old puppy  
• Home Size: 7,000 sq. ft.  
• Support Staff: Weekly cleaning service  

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone  mature, responsible, and kind , with a genuine love for children. The ideal candidate will be  patient, communicative , and comfortable managing a bustling household. Someone who is organized, flexible, and can maintain a calm demeanor under pressure will thrive in this role. 

Previous experience in a similar role, especially with long work hours and multiple children, is strongly preferred. The children have vibrant personalities, so we’re looking for someone who is  outgoing, energetic , and can provide gentle guidance and structure as they grow.

Key Responsibilities

Childcare (Primary Focus):

• School pick-up and after-school activity coordination  
• Preparing and serving healthy meals for children (e.g., salmon, meatballs, vegetables) 
• Supporting evening routines: dinner, bath time, bedtime  
• Homework help and academic support  
• Providing nurturing guidance and consistent care  

Housekeeping (During School Hours):

• Family laundry, including hand-washing delicates  
• Light housekeeping: kitchen cleanup, tidying bedrooms, changing sheets (1x/week) 
• Bathroom cleaning (2x/week), daily vacuuming, floor mopping (1x/week) 
• General household organization and cleanliness  

Additional Duties:

• Running errands and grocery shopping 2–3 times per week  
• Driving required (valid license needed) 
• Pet-friendly attitude for the family’s puppy  

The nanny will have  a daily break between 10 AM and 3 PM , provided all tasks are completed.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional nanny/housekeeping experience  
• Strong references (minimum of two) 
• Clean background check (required upon contingent offer) 
• Valid driver's license  
• Fluent in English  
• Must know how to swim
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.  

Compensation & Benefits

• Total Compensation: The family is offering an hourly rate that equates to a base annual salary of $80,000–$90,000 annually depending on experience. 
• Living Accommodations: Private suite above the garage with bedroom and updated bathroom  
• Vacation: 2 weeks paid  
• Holidays: Paid federal holidays off  
• Additional Benefits: Health insurance stipend may be included depending on final hourly rate
