About the Role:


This is a short term remote part time consulting project. 


As the Networking & Security Engineer, you’ll focus on virtual network visibility and hardening using Aria Operations for Networks. You’ll ensure VMware network configurations meet segmentation, visibility, and security best practices.

What you will be doing:

• Review and assess virtual networking configurations.

• Analyze Aria for Networks data for topology, flow, and segmentation risks.

• Document network-level vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.

• Validate security controls for critical FAA and Citrix VDI dependencies.

What We Want To See:

• 5+ years in network security or virtual networking.

• Strong understanding of VMware networking and NSX concepts.

• Experience using Aria Operations for Networks or vRealize Network Insight.

• Ability to interpret flow data and identify misconfigurations.

Technologies used in this role: 

Aria Operations for Networks, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN networking, VLANs, routing, firewall segmentation.

Bonus Points for:

• VCP-NV or CCNP certification.

• Familiarity with micro-segmentation and Zero Trust models.

• Prior work supporting FAA or regulated industries.
