Job Description

Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center (BHOSC) is seeking BE/BC Orthopedic Surgeon for a hybrid role to include trauma and general surgery.

Practice Highlights

• Mix of trauma and general ortho
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Shared call rotation: 1: 8 for Ortho urgent care and after-hours call. APP supported call.
• Typical week may include:
• 2 -3 clinic days with 20-25 patients per full clinic day
• 2 OR days at Black Hills Surgical Hospital, block schedule available
• Mixed inpatient and outpatient care

Clinical Focus

• Trauma practice with a mixed model of acute and cold trauma and elective orthopedics which might include:
• Primary and revision total hip, knee and shoulder arthroplasty
• Arthroscopic procedures (knee, shoulder) and sports-related injuries
• General orthopedic care across all age groups

Team- Based Care

• Collaboration with advanced practice, physical therapists, athletic trainers and primary care
• Strong referral network in a growing market with planned opening of a Level III hospital in 2030

Ideal Candidates

• Orthopedic trauma surgeon looking for a slower trauma practice mixed in with elective practice
• General orthopedist interested in trauma are encouraged to apply

Compensation Package

We offer a nationally competitive compensation plan and retention incentive, with an additional benefits package including a health, dental and vision insurance, 401K plan, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, CME allowance, allowed time away, malpractice insurance and tail coverage, and a relocation allowance.
