Job Description

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a well-established yet vastly expanding material handling company looking to recruit a new Pre-delivery Inspection Engineer to work at their workshop in Northampton. With a competitive basic salary and a number of other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to get into a new position.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out PDIs on the company’s fleet of Material Handling equipment
• Completing all necessary paperwork that comes along with the inspections
• Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment inspections are carried out efficiently
• Working alongside the rest of the engineering team to maintain a high level of customer service
• Ensuring that all health and safety standards are maintained in the workshop
• Assisting the workshop team with maintenance when needed

Requirements

The company are open to 2 types of individual with this position. You will either be and experienced forklift truck engineer or someone with experience of carrying out PDIs within a closely related industry such as commercial vehicles, plant hire, powered access, agriculture or automotive. In terms of location, you must be based in commutable distance of Northampton.

Benefits

• Up to £34,500 – dependent on years’ experience as an engineer
• Overtime paid at time ½ and double on Sundays and bank holidays
• Yearly bonus
• 23 days holiday, rising to a maximum of 30
