Job Title: Production Supervisor

Job Description

As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees, developing business processes, managing production operations, and fostering an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality of products and the safety of team members.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate a group of employees to achieve production goals.
• Check headcount and assess current needs before each shift.
• Review feedback from previous shifts and address any discrepancies.
• Provide feedback on product quality, team safety, and operational challenges.
• Collaborate with leaders and salaried employees to resolve issues.
• Recap daily activities and prepare for the next shift.

Essential Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills, especially in a union environment.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.
• Accountability in addressing and holding employees responsible.
• Ability to coordinate, manage, and lead people.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and email.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; a degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP).
• Proficiency in Throughput Improvement Process (TIP).
• Advanced understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Experience supervising in a union environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a three-shift automotive assembly plant, requiring willingness to work either shift. The second shift runs from 10:30 pm to 6 am. Weekend work, including Saturdays, is expected.

This is a Contract position based out of Lansing, MI.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lansing,MI.
