As a Culinary Intern participant at the Williamsburg Inn, you work closely with our leadership team, developing key skills and core competencies that guide you on your successful and enriching journey through the world of hospitality and culinary arts.

Work with chefs and cooks with an introduction to each kitchen station, learning prep and execution for both AM and PM service, banquet, and special events.
Through specialized work plan rotations, you gain valuable experience in the culinary arts field, including:
Food preparation, kitchen operations, sanitation and safety, menu planning and development, guest service,
Critical thinking, problem resolution, teamwork, cost control, communication, and leadership.
Successful applicants are responsible for:
Preparing and cooking menu items to established quality standards.
Ensuring items are timely coordinated with other kitchen operations, presented at proper portions and temperatures, with all dish components present.
Adopting new methods of preparation as directed by Chefs and accommodating member's special requests as required.
Assisting with organizing, preparing, and maintaining food prep par levels.
Developing an awareness of business volume forecasts and plans accordingly.
Requisitioning items needed to produce menu items and notifying supervisors of expected shortages in a timely manner.
Assisting with receiving and storing products.
Ensuring kitchen sanitation standards are met in designated areas and assists in maintaining cleanliness in kitchen and food storage areas.
Observing food serves safe practices and all general safety protocols.
Participating in required trainings and meetings.
Performing other tasks and duties as required on training plan.you will work closely with our leadership team developing key skills and core competencies that will guide you on your successful and enriching journey through the world of hospitality and culinary arts.
Applicant must be:
Enrolled in a degree in culinary arts, gastronomy or related area or recent graduate.
Able to communicate in English.
Experience is not a must but a plus.
$18.00 per hour
