Coverage Area: Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens (onsite; may support multiple facilities)
Contract Duration: 9 Weeks
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $30.00/hour
Work Type: Fully Onsite
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Credentialing Specialist to support all aspects of provider credentialing and clinical privileging. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards while maintaining accurate and complete credentialing records for medical staff and allied health professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong audit, compliance, and system management skills.
Coordinate and process initial credentialing, reappointments, credential audits, and clinical privileging activities
Manage credentialing workflows for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and other designated providers
Utilize credentialing software systems (e.g., MDStaff) to track, monitor, and maintain credentialing and background check processes
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of provider credentialing data and documentation
Interpret and apply hospital bylaws, corporate policies, and credentialing procedures
Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, legal, and accrediting agency requirements
Develop and maintain working knowledge of credentialing-related statutes and laws
Support internal and external audits related to credentialing and privileging activities
Communicate effectively with providers, leadership, and internal departments to resolve credentialing issues
Prior experience in provider credentialing and clinical privileging
Strong audit, compliance, and regulatory interpretation skills
Proficiency with credentialing software systems (MDStaff preferred)
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy
Strong communication and collaboration skills
