Job Duties: Work on a tree, shrub, and perennial nursery and at customer locations. Workers will perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: planting, cultivating, harvesting, transplanting, digging, edging, mulching, fertilizing and watering plants, trees, and shrubs. Work includes heavy mechanized field work using 50+ horsepower equipment as well as hand and power tools such as hoes, pruning hooks, shears, shovels, chain saws and trowels. Load/unload trucks and wagons. Ball and burlap trees/shrubs for digging by tying or wrapping root balls as necessary. Fill, lift and carry various size pots with soil and plant material. Performs any other duties involved in the maintenance of plant materials and nursery stock and maintenance of holding yards and shipping areas. May on occasion assist with installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units and sprinkler and/or water feature installation. Must exercise independent judgment; may be asked to demonstrate tasks to other employees but position does not include supervision of other workers. Requires three months experience in the job described.

Special Requirements: Requires three months of previous landscape experience. Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Work schedule is at least 5 days/week with shifts varying by day and work days varying by week to include Saturday and Sunday. Must possess or be able to obtain U.S. driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs, and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours.
