Job Description

This person would primarily need to provide companionship to my 86-year-old mother. My mother is intelligent, very well educated and a great conversationalist. She has some mobility issues, especially in going up/down steps. She especially needs someone who can run errands for her, take her shopping and take her to senior centers periodically. The following is a description of the arrangement we are seeking: The prospective candidate would be a woman within the age range of 20-50. Her room and board would be paid for by my mother. In exchange this woman would provide 1 - 2 hours of assistance per day given the fact that my mother is completely independent cognitively and only has very mild mobility problems (she walks slowly, with a cane and needs help going up /down steps). The woman would have most of the day free to do whatever she would like here in the US(Baltimore - Washington DC area). For example she could go to university and study English or any other subject or she could find another job. My mother would provide a very small stipend for incidentals. So essentially this is an exchange of room and board for the woman plus a very small stipend and she would provide 1 - 2 hours of assistance every day while sleeping in the house at night.
