Job Description

We need confident and ambitious team members who are interested in near-term career growth! Hiring immediately.

**You will begin as a Baker, both in terms of duties and wages, so you are well-trained before being expected to assume leadership responsibilities. Upon promotion to Shift Lead, you would then receive a base pay of $10.50 - $11.00 / hour + TIPS (tip pool). Experience tells us to expect a post-tips total rate of around $14.00 - $15.00 / hour for tip pool participants. You may opt out of the tip pool at any time.**

Training resources are accessible on a regular basis to help put you in a position to succeed. After 30-60 days as a Baker, we will determine your readiness for promotion to Shift Lead and the duties that come with it. Paths to management and other leadership opportunities may become available to those who take advantage, and who prove themselves as effective leaders both in terms of cultural fit and workplace productivity.

We are looking for a motivated shift leader to oversee daily operations during designated shifts, supervise employees, and ensure that our customers receive outstanding service. The shift leader's responsibilities also include dealing with no-shows, delegating tasks, handling cash up, and reporting any issues to the manager.

To be successful as a shift leader, you should be able to manage a team of people and ensure that all duties are performed accurately. Ultimately, a top shift leader should be able to ensure smooth and efficient workflows while raising the bar for fellow crew members to meet Crumbl standards.

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year of leadership experience in the food service or retail industry.
  • Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products, even in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability.
  • Comfortable with being the person who co-workers will look to for leadership during busy periods.
  • Team player who understands personal accountability and that staff performance is a reflection of its leader(s).
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Stand, walk, bend, use hands, appliances, and lift heavy items for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring team performance and ensuring duties are performed efficiently.
  • Patiently but firmly training employees even on-the-spot as issues arise, but always in a manner that empowers the employee rather than undercutting their confidence.
  • Reporting any issues that arise during the shift to management.
  • Managing employee requests and transgressions.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, health, and safety standards.
  • Opening and closing registers, accounting for the daily intake, and preparing cash deposits.
  • Handling customer issues and employee disputes.

It all started with one big dream, two crazy cousins, and the perfect combination of flour, sugar, and chocolate chips. Crumbl was co-founded by Jason McGowan (CEO) & Sawyer Hemsley (COO). They both teamed up and dove head-first into the world of baking. After thousands of dollars in wasted dough, recipes that did not live up to their expectations, and cookies that are just plain embarrassing to them today, the two cousins decided to take their 'perfect cookie quest' to the people. They gathered feedback and tested recipes — a practice that is still part of the Crumbl process — until they created the world’s best chocolate chip cookie.
